Welfare Notes - November 2004 Flu Season To help prevent the flu: avoid close contact with those who are sick, if you become sick stay home if possible, cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, wash your hands often, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you get the flu, you should: rest, drink plenty of fluids, avoid using tobacco or alcohol, limit your contact with others, wash your hands frequently, and take medication to relieve symptoms of flu, but never give aspirin to children or teenagers who have flu like symptoms before checking with your doctor. Enrollment Initial enrollments for spouses and dependent children require the completion of enrollment forms and copies of marriage certificates and copies of birth certificates.
